Working on things
I really struggle with consistency in my editing. I was busy in Costa Rica in April and then in May I was out a lot during the Biggest Birding Week at the marshes outside Oregon, Ohio. If you’ve never been, you should. The festival is one of the biggest with over 2,200 people, plus 232 bird species spotted. Did I see all those people and that amount of birds. No. I tried to go in the afternoon when the crowds died down and though there are 232 species reported, that does not mean you get to see them all. I still have two nemesis birds I tried several days in a row to see. I’d get to the spot that they were seen and people would say, “you should have been here 20 minutes ago”. Story of a birders life.
I’m not sure what it is with editing. I am getting better at it, but it’s not as enjoyable as going out and taking the pictures. Plus, I’m kind of OCD, but trying to let that go. I also sometimes wonder what the purpose of it is all about. But God’s been talking to me about that and encouraging me, but it’s the 7 pound thing that lies between my ears that is in constant disagreement with those thoughts.
But I’m working on it. Growth can be painful, but necessary. It’s the process that I’m trying to learn to enjoy.
The photos have the name of the species on each one and where they were taken. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do taking them.
Thank you again for all your support. And as always, my prints are available. Not every photo I put on the website, but if you like something you see, let me know.
